Report Card

A) Assignments- 33% - How many of the assignments were completed? (actually count) How much effort did you put into the assignments? Did you begin to work harder or did your effort decrease? Why? How do you feel about your writing? What do you do well? What needs work? What did you learn from doing the assignments? (Then use links, pictures, or videos to prove everything you have just said.) What goals do you have for future assignments?
B) Comments- 33% - How many total comments have you made this year? (50 comments or more is doing well... actually count) Whose blogs did you comment on? What kind of things did you write? How may times did you respond to the comments on your own blog? How many improvements on your blog did you make because of comments? What have you learned about being part of a learning community rather than an isolated individual learner? How would you assess your participation in the "social" part of our constructivist class structure? (provide proof) What goals do you have for your Sullivan community and classes next year?
C) Self Regulation - 33% - How well did you control your own behaviour and learning this semester? How many classes did you miss? How well did you stay on task while here? How did you take responsibility for missed classes? How many times did your behaviour affect others in a positive way? How many times were you a negative influence on others? How has your own self regulation affected the success of the class as a whole? What have you learned about yourself this semester? What goals do you have about changing yourself? (provide evidence where possible)
D) Genius Hour - 0% - While NOT for marks I think Genius Hour is worth some reflection. What topic did you choose and why? How did you plan your learning? How did you plan your teaching? How effective were you with time given each week? How was your presentation received by your peers? What did you learn from the comments? What have you learned about your own perspective about the responsibility of learning because of the Genius Hour? Why do you come to school or bother learning anything?

Im not the best at grammar or punctuation so I'm going to be explain why i deserve the mark I give myself by linking my work and using a note style of doing This

-All assighnments were completed 75 percent to my fullest ability.
-Over the course of the semester i feel like my quility of work decreased
-My overall writing did not increase or decrease its about the same but my ability to come up with things off the top of my head increased
-I learned that i actrolly have to care about what i'm doing in order to do a good job and to care about what I'm doing.

-I have a total of 41 comments, I commented on everyones blog atleast once.
-My comments were pretty good i would usually do a 1 like 1 dislike and  1 improvement style comment
-I would look at my comments on my work and usually change what people told me to, but at the same time sometimes i didn't like what people were telling me what to do and i wouldnt change anything.
-I have learned that if we all help each other succeed in ways we need help with the classroom community would be much better.
-I feel like i have been a huge part in this class rooms social aspect i would help people that would need help and i would always be commenting on peoples work so they could do better in the class room.
-I had a really good comment on allans blog with links to information on wikipedia and other things but he deleted it for some reason  -,-

- My self regulation in  class was avarage i missed a few classes, id slack of or get off task in class, but when i was here and ready to learn i was like a beast, i do great work help people and want to learn all at the dame time. but when i was off task i made sure i wouldn't distract other i would usually just play games on the computer and be quite.

-For my geinous how i chose the history of lacrosse, i planned out my learning by getting all my info and learning it. i then put it into a powerpoint and script so i could teach it affectively. but on presentation day i forgo my script and had to wing it with the information i had remembered. I feel like the overall presenntion went well for the situation i was in and the questions that were asked from the class would of been easier if i had my script but i still feel like i did good.

From the information i gave above i feel like i deserve a 86% final grade. because of my effort attendence overall quility and work and my comments to people in or class room.

  3. Cody I already texted you with some of my thoughts, but I will explain here as well. You are right that you are very good at commenting. Not always super polite, but you are bright and see the ways others can improve their work very quickly. You are also very good at figuring out how to "get it done" when comes to you own work. Sometimes you even provide thoughtful snippets in your rushed work. but rarely do you engage in slow, careful reading or writing. Many others commented on your work, but I didn't notice much change or editing happening when they or I pointed out ways to improve. In the last month you have all but quit this class. You posts were even more rushed, or not done. Your Genius Hour went from a home music mixing thing, to a rushed Lacrosse piece that you did based mostly on what you already know or think you know. I had to send you home for your behaviour, and you spent your time in class ignoring me and playing on the computers. These are NOT the attribute of an A student. If you had decided to maximize your natural talents and really work hard all year you could easily have been that student but you ended up missing... by quite a long ways. You have lots to offer Cody... being silly is only one thing. I really hope you find a reason to take the time... for yourself. As you didn't take the opportunity I provided (that Austin pointed out above) to rethink your post... I am left assigning a mark. The whole year has been an effort to break that habit of being told what to do, who you are, and what mark to get... so I am disappointed to have to do it. I will give you 75% for you start and the fact you technically do most of the work. I encourage you to continue to look for the spirit and learning of the assignments rather than racing to complete them. Have a good summer Cody... it was a blast to have you around for the majority of the year. :)
